The specification used is the same as that required by many professional herbalists. The tincture strength is high with a ratio of avena sativa straw to pure grain alcohol of 1:3. The alcohol used is organic standard 45% v/v. Dosage levels are very small 3ml to 5ml. The dose for older children is up to 2.5ml.
The label advice is to dilute the tincture with a little water. Some people prefer to take tinctures in fruit juice, hot beverages or other flavoured drinks
